  1. The fountain is in La Place de Concorde at the edge of the Tuileries. The month is probably December or January when the fountains are turned off.


  2. The fountains may have been dry during the occupation of Paris. This particular fountain was not running in a photo from my father’s WWII collection, taken August 1944. Hmmm, sounds like a cue for a new blog post – “Who were they? 52 ancestors in 52 weeks”
